Ultimate cooling. Unmatched durability. Minimal pressure drop.
Excessive heat is the single biggest threat to a transmission. The FEDREX cooler is a high-performance cooling solution engineered to surpass OEM standards — built around precision internal flow channels that maximize fluid movement while minimizing restriction.
Most coolers solve heat by adding surface area and quietly accept the pressure drop that comes with it — a restricted circuit makes the pump work harder and starves the clutch packs it is meant to protect. The FEDREX design treats flow as a first-class constraint: precision-engineered internal channels move fluid with minimum resistance, so the transmission is cooled without being strained. That is why the low pressure drop design is the headline feature, not the fin count.
The 40,000-unit rating is the heat this cooler can carry away per hour — sized for towing and sustained load, not light passenger duty.
High-density aluminum fins maximize heat dissipation under heavy and sustained load.
Precision flow channels minimize oil pressure drop so the transmission never works against its own cooler.
Reduces wear and prevents the costly breakdowns that follow sustained overheating.
Includes hoses, brass fittings, brackets and screws — no additional parts required.
Meets or exceeds OEM standards, built with premium materials throughout.
Compatible with most vehicles and transmission types, including non-GM applications.
Engineered and tested in Canada for North American operating conditions.
Comprehensive coverage included with every unit.
A cooler has two jobs that pull against each other: take heat out of the fluid, and let the fluid keep moving. Widen the path and you lose contact area. Narrow it and you choke the circuit. The whole design is the resolution of that trade-off.
Fluid backs up before it reaches the cooler. The pump works against the restriction, line pressure rises, and the clutch packs the cooler is meant to protect get less flow, not more.
The internal channels are shaped to move volume with minimum resistance. Full flow reaches the fins, heat comes out, and the transmission is never fighting its own cooler.
Sustained load raises fluid temperature faster than the factory cooler was sized to handle, especially on grades.
Delivery and service vehicles cycle the torque converter constantly, generating heat with no airflow to carry it away.
In summer heat the factory cooling margin narrows to almost nothing before the load is even applied.
Higher power through the same transmission means more heat through the same fluid — the cooler is the cheapest insurance available.
The cooler ships as a complete installation kit — hoses, brass fittings, brackets and screws. Nothing to source separately, nothing to improvise. Note that unlike our GM-specific engine and suspension lines, the cooler carries universal fitment across most vehicles and transmission types.
